Your first session is more than an introduction, it’s a foundation.
In Our First Session
Beginning therapy can bring uncertainty. You do not need to have the right words, a clear understanding of what is wrong, or a plan for where to begin.
You don’t need to have everything all figured out before beginning, only a willingness to begin.
Together, we begin understanding what has brought you here and making sense of the emotional patterns, experiences, relationships, life transitions, grief, stressors, or internal struggles that may be contributing to what you are currently experiencing.
Some people arrive with a very clear concern. Others simply know that something no longer feels sustainable, even if they cannot yet explain why.
There is no expectation to tell your whole story at once.
What if I don't know what to say?
Many people worry about saying the right thing, becoming emotional, or not knowing where to begin.
There is no right way to arrive.
Part of my role is helping create enough emotional safety and structure so that together we can understand what feels important, at a pace that feels manageable for you.
Therapy can look different for different people
Some people come seeking longer-term support and deeper understanding.
Others arrive wanting clarity around a particular experience, relationship, or life transition.
You do not need to know exactly what you need before beginning.
We can work that out together.

Initial Consultation / First session - 75 minutes
Ongoing Individual sessions - 60 minutes
Extended Individual Sessions - 80 minutes
Couples Therapy - 75 minutes
Extended Couples Therapy - 90 minutes
